    The speed is simply the ratio of distance and time. That is:

    speed = distance / time

    speed = 522 ft / 44 s

    speed = 11.86 ft/s

    Convert to m/s:

    speed = 11.86 ft/s * (1 m/3.28 ft)

    speed = 3.62 m/s
