What happens to the velocity of an object when balanced forces act on it? a. There will be no change c. There will be negative acceleration b. There will be positive acceleration d. Velocity will change, but not acceleration

    When the forces acting on an object are balanced, their effect

    on the object is the same as if there were no forces at all acting

    on it. Then its velocity doesn't change ... the object continues its

    motion in a straight line at constant speed. That situation is also

    called 'zero acceleration'.
