Greyhounds can accelerate at 7 m/s2 at the start of a race. How much force does it take a 35 kg dog to produce this acceleration

    Force = (mass) x (acceleration) Newton's second law of motion.

    Force = (35 kg) x (7 m/s²) = 245 newtons

    (about 55 pounds)
