What is the gravitational potential energy of a clock that has a mass of 4.0 kg and is positioned 1.5 m off the ground?

    The potential energy is the mass multiplied by the height multiplied by the earth accelerations

    Ep = mgh

    in your case

    Ep = 4kg * 9.8m/s^2 * 1.5m = 59J
