The Current atomic model (Quantum mechanical model) is usually pegged to as the electron cloud model. This model is composed as most other modern models, with a nucleus of protons and neutrons, the similarities end with the electron placement being scattered around the nucleus instead of uniformed orbits. It is believed that the electrons instead "cloud" around the nucleus.
