A 50.0 kg child takes a ride on a Ferris wheel that rotates with a tangential speed of 1.2 m/s. Find the centripetal force that maintains the circular motion of the child if the distance from the center of the Ferris wheel is 16.0 m.

    Centripetal force is F=mv^2/r. So F=50 (1.2^2) / 16=4.5J
