1. A student bicycled 12 kilometers east in 2 hours. What was the student's average velocity during the trip?

    Velocity is the ratio of the distance covered and the time taken to cover that distance. So in this case velocity is 12km divided by 2 hours or 12000 meters divided by 7200 seconds, which comes out to be 1.66. So the velocity, in this case, is 1.66 m/s (meter per second)
