The coil is placed in the magnetic field of a horseshoe magnet. The plane of the coil is at right angles to the field. The coil is then removed to a region where B = 0, and using an oscilloscope, the following signal is observed across the ends of the wires of the coil:

    Can't see a signal but I'd expect to see a sort of "blip" as the coil cuts different strengths of fields to eventually none. E = - dB/dt is the voltage
