Ok, so the easiest thing to do would be to first figure out the definitions, and then compare the terms from there. So, thermal energy is basically the inside or internal temperature thats part of a system due to its temperature. And, the definition of heat is high in temperature, or or something having the quality of being hot. So, if you use those definitions, you can come up with various differences. One of those differences could be that heat is the overall temperature or measure of the heat of an object, while thermal energy can be measured as the kinetic energy held within free particles or, the thermal energy per particle.
