    Specific Gravity (SG) is simply the ratio of the density of a substance over the density of water. The density of water at room temperature is 1000 kg / m^3. Therefore:

    SG = liquid density / water density

    1.1 = liquid density / (1000 kg / m^3)

    liquid density = 1100 kg / m^3
