Terry says that if an object has no acceleration, then no forces are exerted on it. Sherry doesn't agree, but can't provide an explanation. They both look at you. What do you say?

    According to Newton's second law of motion,

    Fnet = m x a

    The net force is the product of the object's mass and acceleration. If the acceleration is zero, then it is not true that no force is exerted on it. Instead, the force cancels out such that their net force is zero.
