The ecological footprint left by a citizen of a developed nation is about four times larger tan that left a citizen of a developing nation. why?

    Well, obviously, if you live in a developed nation you have a higher income, you spend more money, you can buy more things and more frequently. Developed nation citizens are by nature consumerists because that is the way you've been raised, it's the basis of the capitalist society and structure, someone that lives in a developing country, like me, doesn't have a lot of money so can't buy and doesn't need so many things.
