What force allows an object to move at a constant rate?

    No force is required to keep a moving object moving at a constant rate,

    if there are no other forces on it.

    If there are other forces on the object, then the force required to keep it

    moving at a constant rate is a force equal in magnitude and opposite in

    direction to the sum of all the others.
