    People initially thought that the gangs were the responsible for all the deaths that occurred with the servant girls in Texas. They believed that the gangs were going after these servant women for the reason that they were living with men out of wedlock, which meant they were living a sinful life. They believed that they were killing the women for living such a kind of life.
