In morrie's opinion, what causes people to be mean?

    As explained in Tuesdays with Morrie, the reason that people are mean is because they think their livelihoods are threatened, because they are preoccupied with money. Morrie sees our culture’s obsession with money as what drives people to be self-centered and cruel.
