Comprehensiveness and conciseness are two of what I call the Ten Principles for Creating Better Indexes. The other principles (or characteristics) are accuracy, audience and access, clarity, common sense, consistency, metatopic and structure, reflexivity.

Comprehensiveness is thus related to exhaustivity, specificity, and depth of indexing

The two measures are: Comprehensiveness and conciseness

Comprehensiveness refers to whether the document include the necessary information that needed for the communication

conciseness refers to whether the necessary information is displayed in a full/complete fashion.
