If a train travels for 4.5 hours at a rate of 40 mph, what is the distance the train will travel?

    First you have to find out the equation which is

    v=x/t which is: wave speed = distance:time and because you want to find the distance you have to re-arrange the equation, so that it applies to distance so: x=v*t, oh then need to substitute in the answers, x = 40*4.5 = 180m
