Cesare Lombroso is considered to be the father of criminology, as well as the father of the positive school of criminological thought.

Positive criminology focuses at how forces outside of peoples' control play a role in causing people to behave in certain ways. Cesare replaced the concept of free will with determinism

According him poeople are born criminals and they are biologically different from people that aren't criminals.
