The Rush-Bagot Treaty was a treaty between the United States and the United Kingdom (Britain) on limiting naval armaments on the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain. This followed the War of 1812 and it was ratified by the United States Senate on April 16, 1818. It was also confirmed by Canada, following Confederation, in 1867.
