The correct answer is A. have the most intimate relationships with girlfriends.

If a high school girl has a very close relationship with her mother, she is likely to have her closes relationships with her girlfriends as well, probably because she is so used to having a woman who is always there for her around. This doesn't mean that this girl will have troubles when it comes to relationships with boys - it just means she feels much more comfortable around her girlfriends rather than her boyfriends.
