Compare and contrast the cultures of Aksum, the Swahili Coast, and Great Zimbabwe in terms of their environmental, economic, religious, political, and social structures.

    Environment: Mainly agricultural

    Economic: Port Area, trade (it is near the Indian Ocean and the Red Sea)

    Religious: Before Christianity it was polytheistic

    Political: Monarchy

    Social: class structure

    Swahii

    Environmenrt: coastal plain, swamp areas with fertile ground

    Economic: Commerce

    Religion: Islam

    Political: Ruled by an Emperor

    Social: have modest behavior, men and women are not allowed to

    mingle. Women mostly are at home and men usually are in public

    places

    Great Zimbabwe

    Environmental: The ruined city, The Capital kingdom of Zimbabwe

    Economic: gold trade, cattle herds

    Religious: Believe in spirits, and communicates with their ancestors

    Political: Monarchy, has an empire

    Social: has a large population, class structure
