This is an example of the wishful thinking bias

People who do wishful thinking bias usually already pre-determine whichever 'truth' they prefer to believe it and keep holding on to it no matter what the facts are.

For example, Sonia has a wishful thinking that her boyfriend love her. So, no matter how abusive her boyfriend might be, in her mind Sonia might keep thinkig that 'he's doing this because he loves me'.
