We all know that the father is the head of the family and his partners do his demand. Describe the male controls and female suppression in Chinua Achebe's book. Things fall apart, Mostly women do not possess such heavy physical characteristics or competitive, violent natures that were venerated in the Igbo culture.

For centuries, patriarchy has always been practiced from generation to generation. Patriarchy is defined as men holding exclusive or higher power than women in social settings such as politics, etc. This power had been abused for a lot of times leading to oppressive patriarchy where women are viewed lower than their abilities and potentialities.
