If you are unsure which pulse you palpating on you can try to move your other hand and palpate your neck or chest. If the pulse in your first-hand matches the pulse on your second hand, it means the pulse is yours. If the pulse didn't match, it means the pulse is Tina's pulse.

You can also check other location of the patient pulse with your other hand and compare whether it matches with the pulse in your first hand.
