    Both of these tribes were considered "civilized tribes" because they were clothed, farmed, and governed themselves in fashions similar to the white people.

    Out of the southern states, Georgia most commonly made illegal treaties with Native American tribes. Their goal was to gain control of more land before the Constitution went into effect and consequently restricted their expansion.
