Segregation between black and white Americans caused turmoil when a law was enacted. Various peaceful protests which were participated including students were organized to fight against it. But the chaotic protest in Birmingham convinced President Kennedy for a change, after which one of America’s largest historical rallies highlighted King’s sermonic speech, was the trigger.
