    A perceptual confirmation is when something that we perceive and believe (usually due to cultural stereotypes) occurs in front of us and thus confirms what we have already perceived to be true. An example of this would be a Latino or Latina individual who is also a great salsa dancer. We already assume (sometimes incorrectly) that Latino/a people are good at salsa dancing.
