How did the war affect attitudes toward slavery in the us?

    I think for many of them it made them think that all men (every race and creed) like it was meant they had the right to freedom. That slavery was wrong to a certain degree. It was being phased out around the world and would have ended to even without the civil war. We had fought for our freedom who do deny anyone the same rights we gave blood for ourselves. And no I didn't copy and paste this.
