    Many people who are treated in hospital emergency rooms for nonfatal, self-inflicted injuries were probably making suicide attempts, especially: Teenage girls.

    Researches showed that teenage girls are more prone to anxiety compared to the teenage boys. This anxiety could potentially develop into depression which is the most likely reason for those suicide attempts.
