What were the promises of the preamble to the Declaration of Independence?

    It is stated in the promises of the preamble to the Declaration of Independence were all men are created equal, that they are endowed, by their Creator, with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. It is also to the security of the rights, the Governments are instituted among Men. And growing the powers of the government from the consent of the governed that whenever there is any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, that it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish the constitution. And to make a new Government, laying its foundation on these principles and organizing its powers in such form and as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
