Why did the colonist go to Georgia? to get more land or to pay off depts or was it for poor people

    The colonists went to Georgia to get more land for the British and to start more colonies. The land was colonized by George Oglethorpe on January 2, 1788. Georgia was the last of the 13 colonies to be made and founded.
