    We call Ad verecundiam to the improper appeal to authority. That means that fallacy occurs in an ad when there is a testimony of a public figure or celebrity and the company uses him as a tool to persuade rather than explaining relevant information. This is wrong because people would not be abe to see the real properties or characteristics of the product.
