A population of 25,000 rabbits experiences 4,000 births in a year. what is that population's birth rate for that year?

    The formula to calculate population's birth rate is:

    Number of Births/total population

    = 4000 births / 25,000

    = 16 %

    Considering that rabbits commonly has more than 1 mates and has an average of 50% chance of dying, this number is really low.
