    The answer is women. When Carol Giligan found evidence that Kohlberg’s stages do not apply to women entirely, Giligan created her own stage theory of moral development for the female individuals. Giligan’s self-made theory of moral development is somehow similar to the Kohlberg’s stages, which includes the three major divisions such as preconventional, conventional and post-conventional.
