At what age can babies only discriminate among those phonemes that are used in the language (s) in their environments?

    The answer is 12 months. When babies turn 12 months old of age their ability to identify and process sounds related to language ebbs and they are only able to distinguish the phonemes of their native language. This phenomenon is explained through Jusczyk’s Head Turn Experiment.
