Why do we know less about harappan civilization than about egypt or mesopotamia?

The reason why we know less about Harappan civilization than about Egypt or Mesopotamia is because the researchers or historians was not able to learn about this civilization and the writing system of which these civilization has, is hard to figure out because of their own writing system.
