    I believe the answer is: D. none of the above

    Option A is wrong because larger amount of resources meant that the society have more option to support the citizen's living, which tend to lead to more stability.

    option b and c is wrong because larger societies tend to be able to employ more people with different abilities, which make it better for internal controls.
