Why did some Texans support the war in Vietnam?

    Because They believe that it was necessary to stop communism.

    At that time, communism was correlated with government dictatorship and large scale murders upon the citizens.

    Many of Texan citizens at that time see the communist influence in Vietnam should be stop in order to prevent it from spreading to united states' allies in south-east Asia.
