Why did the sons of liberty protest the new taxes?

    Because KG3 (King George the 3rd) Didn't allow them to have a voice, which led to the colonists using the saying "Not Taxation Without Representation!*, the colonists rebelling, more taxes and laws as punishment, and the Revolutionary war.

    *They wanted representation in Congress, I belive?

    The sons of liberty didn't appreciate the British government taxing the colonists without their consent.
