The Woodstock Music & Art Fair debuted in August of 1969 on a dairy farm near the Catskill Mountains, which are in southern New York.

Woodstock music and art festival created 1969 and attracted more than 400,000 visitors for a three day event. The festival was able to attract so many audiences because it managed to invite major bands of the underground music scene which usually really hard to book for mainstream events.
