Kayla is a newlywed and is conscious of basically acting out her understanding of how to be a wife. she is in the process of adapting to: her new partner. her new relationship. her new role. her new status.

Everything in Kayla's world has changed since she got married. The responsibilities of being a new wife were so different than her normal she feels as if she's just acting out a part. She is trying to adapt to all the changes that come with a new marriage.
