Bruces' story most clearly illustrates that gender identity is a result of peer pressure. It is clear that Bruce is originally male when he was young. he just lost his organ due to an accident, not through gender transplant. Moreover, he was not happy about why he was raised as a girl. He wanted to prove that he is originally male.
