two materials did Edison experiment in order to make filaments?

I believe, those two materials were bamboo and carbonized thread

After thousands of experiments, Edison realized that filaments made from carbonized bamboo could alst for more than 1200 hours. (while others probably only last for several days)

This invention made Edison really rich after he mass produce it in late 1800s
