Will the Andes mountains on the west coast of South America become taller or shorter in the future? Use the theory of plate tectonics to explain you answer.

    Andes will probably get taller as they always did. It's because they lie mainly on South American Plate (as well as partly on Nazca and Antarctic Plates) and they're being forced to outcrop by the subduction of oceanic crust under those plates.
