What physical features does Greece have that would encourage the Greeks to make their living from the sea

Actually already this: living next to the sea already encourages this; as sea offers easy transportation and food source: one only needs to catch the fish, and does not need to tend to them throughout their life. And Greeks live on Islands and Peninsulas so they have a very easy access to the sea.
