    Explanation:This is a situation in which parents or guardians in charge of a child's well-being neglect the child's needs by failing to provide his / her basic need. Such children learn to develop behavioural inhibitions that disagree with thier parent or guardian when constantly exposed to the maltreatment of their parents or guardians. This developmental change can be adaptive to the child in the short run because it would reduce the tendency of such continued abuse. But can lead to a change in the child's perception of viewing reality in the long run.
