The State of Kansas enacted a law which states any heavy vehicle especially trucks of significant height running in the roads of Alaska must installed a mud flap which will prevent mud or other debris from spraying to the rear of the vehicle.

These mud flaps have proved to reduced accidents and other damages to the vehicle as they prevent splashing mud or water from the rear wheel to the windshield of other vehicle.
