Fossil fuels are a large industry in the economy.

    Explanation:

Although many countries around the world including Canada has pledged to limit or stop the use of fossil fuels, it is not working. The total consumption of fossil fuels in Canada was about 73 percent in 2015.

That's a lot. It is because Canada is a large country and also it is cold there. Hence, the fossil fuels are used more as it is produced in abundance.

Canadians need a lot of energy to heat their homes, run their vehicles, and power the economy.
