Many historians have called the revolt of 1857 the first of independence. Do you agree? Give reasons for your answer.

    Explanation:

    I disagree, although the revolt of 1875 was called as The First Indian War for Independence. because at that time, nationalism wasn't evolving yet as a force that will unite Indian people and force them to make things changing when it comes to Independence, and that is the statement that is claimed by post-colonial historians. Later, the nationalism was something that brought their independence and unity.
