    Declaration of Sentiments was the document that outlined that women must be entitled the citizenship. It emerged from the Seneca Falls Convention in July 1848. It was written by Stanton and it was based on the Declaration of Independence. It was the first statements about the social and political repression of American women.

    It met with hostility upon its publication. Seneca falls convention marked the beginning of the start of Women's rights movement in US. Three day before the convention feminists Martha C, Wright, Lucretia Mott and Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Mary Mc Clintock met to discuss the agenda and speeches for the meeting.
